Dad's the word at The Pregnant man pub, where the team are serving up a limited-edition menu of Broken Clock and soda creations, including this tangy twosome of our english vodka combined with Mexican lime soda.

This bustling city drinking hole is named after one of the 20th century's most iconic advertising campaigns, conceived by London-based agency Saatchi& Saatchi.

The swinging Sixties in Britain saw the arrival of a free love revolution and a burgeoning female liberation movement, with the introduction of the contraceptive pill instrumental in giving women a newfound sexual freedom.

Witnessing a shift in attitudes, the Health Education Council was tasked with creating a marketing campaign encouraging men to share the responsibility for preventing unwanted pregnancies just as much as their female partners.

So in 1970 the Saatchi team came up with the attention-grabbing idea of a poster depicting a pregnant man looking solemnly at the camera with the tagline, "Would you be more careful if it was you that got pregnant?" and successfully pitched it to the government, creating a now iconic image and giving birth to Saatchi & Saatchi's global success.

The rather trailblazing business had an equally innovative idea in 1993 when they became the first marketing business to open their own private pub at their then Charlotte Street address - and when tasked with picking a name for their new 'local', naturally the team chose to honour their first born campaign.

And thankfully, when the offices relocated to their new home on Chancery Lane a decade ago, the pub came along with them - and opened to the public too - where it remains a somewhat suitable spot to get one's creative juices flowing with an awfully english vodka in hand today.
